As part of his engagement in the Gambia, The Taiwanese
president Ma ying geou visited the national agricultural research institute
(NARI) where he made a tour of NARI’s facilities and met some of their staff.
This also coincides with the training workshop on “crop cultivation and
production” organized by the Taiwanese ICDF programme where participants came
from Haiti, Swaziland and in The Gambia. The Taiwanese president therefore met
an ongoing practical session on this training workshop at NARI premises and
exchange words with the participants. Please check the link: http://observer.gm/africa/gambia/article/president-ma-visits-banjulinding-womens-garden-others

With the lunching of the program of accelerated growth and employment "Page" in my country, which also have to do with Gambia to be a food self sufficient Country by the next five years, my institution NARI have a big challenge because agricultural research forms an integral part in realizing this vision. We are willing and committed to see that this noble vision is realized.
